Kelly McDermott-Burns, MasterKelly McDermott-Burns

Kelly is a certified Usui and Karuna™ Reiki master/teacher and a certified teacher of Animal Reiki. She has been practicing in central Vermont since 2004. Kelly does presentations on Reiki on behalf of the VRA. Her personal practice includes work with seniors, cancer patients and animals. She is a Reiki volunteer at Gifford Medical Center and the Rutland County Humane Society.
 
Vice President Theresa Vezina
Theresa Vezina, Northeast Kingdom

Theresa is a certified Reiki Master who has been practicing Reiki since 2004. She has a private practice in Barton, VT at Touch of Healing Reiki.  She is dedicated to bringing the Healing Arts into her community. She is organizing awareness events and free Reiki clinics once a month. She also does Lightwork and Shamanic Healing. She received her certification from The Bridge of Light
 

Treasurer
Alexis Houston, TreasurerAlexis Houston

Alexis Houston, LMT, Reiki Master Teacher, has been practicing Craniosacral Therapy, massage and Reiki for ten years. She has a private practice in Rochester, VT and teaches Reiki and yoga in Chatham, Massachusetts. Currently she is developing a clinic and orphanage in India that will provide volunteer opportunities for Reiki practitioners.

Membership Coordinator

The VRA became a formal organization with paid memberships during the summer of 2004. Our coordinator Susan Fortier is responsible for keeping the VRA membership list up to date with renewals and new members.
 
Regional Member Coordinators:
Our Regional member coordinators are contact people for members in areas around the state. They are responsible for facilitating outreach events and/or assisting area members as they create Reiki clinics, shares and other events in their communities. The coordinator acts as a liaison to the President to assure area members are represented.

Sylvia is the owner of the Vermont Herbal General Store in West Rutland.
 
Rev. Trudi Denison, Washington/Orange County

Trudi had been doing healing work for many years before Reiki came into her life. She began teaching Reiki in the 90’s passing this amazing energy on to hundreds of students since then. Trudi was the keynote speaker at the second annual VRA meeting! Trudi is the owner of Complementary Arts. She lives and practices in East Randolph.

Sukhada RepassSukhada Repass, Lamoille County

Sukhada Repass founded Ray of Light in May of 2006. She has been involved in the Healing Arts for 6 years. Sukhada is a certified Reiki Master/Teacher & Lightwork Practitioner offering Reiki Clinics in her area twice a month & teaching Reiki Classes. Sukhada also does Aromatherapy & Flower Essence Therapy. She is located in Johnson Vermont.

Newsletter Coordinator

In an attempt to meet our VRA goals and provide current information and communication throughout the state of Vermont, we need a member to coordinate Reiki articles, Member News and the President’s Report for the quarterly web news. This person will collect the information and send it to our webmaster four times a year.
 
Respite House Coordinator
Jean Potter

For three years, the VRA has provided Reiki sessions at the Respite House, every other Friday from 1-3 PM. It is a home for people in their last weeks of life. VRA member Jean Potter coordinates scheduling Reiki sessions for the staff, volunteers, and residents. Norman Sevigny has been assisting Jean on a regular basis. This is very meaningful work. Sunflower Sutherland, MS

Sunflower is one of the original Reiki practitioners who met to discuss founding the VRA in the autumn of 2002. She was instrumental in developing the vision, mission, and organizational components for the VRA, including creating the VRA website in November of 2004. Sunflower has a full-time private practice as a certified Usui and Karuna Reiki master/teacher, providing both individual and family spiritual counseling at Taproot Healing Institute in Wilmington, NC.
