Local News
An excerpt from the Newport Daily Express Jan 15 2010 NATIONAL SPOTLIGHT ON REIKI Dr. Oz highlights energy healing, as practice grows in popularity in Vermont. The Dr. Oz Show, a nationally syndicated television program, that airs locally on Fox 44, highlighted Reiki on a recent episode. “So many of the ailments that we suffer from can be treated through energy therapies, which will become much more prevalent over the next few years,” says Dr. Oz, a world renowned heart surgeon. “We are embarking on this whole new vista of opportunities and it broadens dramatically the spectrum of where we might be able to go in our bodies and this is the area of energy medicine.” Dr. Oz acknowledged that his wife is a Reiki Master. The couple uses Reiki on their children and in the operating room. (complete article can be found at www.newportdailyexpress.com) What Do You
Think??
1. Do you think a person who has completed Reiki I, should be listed on the “Locate A Practitioner” page, as a Practitioner or a Student? 2. Would you partake in a program that would allow you to offer CEU's (Continued Education Units) to your nursing students? Your opinion matters. Please email your thoughts on these subjects to: info@vermontreikiassociation.org
