Kelly began her Reiki journey in 2004 and began teaching in 2006. Trained by the International House of Reiki and Animal Reiki Source, she is a registered Teacher/Practitioner for Shibumi International Reiki Association and a Founding & Teaching Member of the Shelter Animal Reiki Association. From 2006-2009 she was president of the Vermont Reiki Association.
Service is an important part of her practice and includes developing and coordinating the Reiki Volunteer Program at Rutland Regional Medical Center and volunteering at Rutland County Humane Society, offering Reiki to the animals and their caregivers. Kelly is also a member of the Board of Advisers for New England Pet Hospice and Home Care, advising on Reiki. She is a trained hospice and palliative care volunteer and teaches Reiki to hospice and hospital volunteers. Educating the public and private sector about the benefits of Reiki is a major focus of her work. In addition to her private practice, she travels throughout the northeast teaching the Japanese System of Reiki and Animal Reiki and being an ambassador for the Shelter Animal Reiki Association.
