Sylvia Gaboriault
VRA Secretary
Sylvia has been practicing Reiki since 2003 and achieved the level of Reiki Master Practitioner and Teacher in the Usui Tradition of Healing in 2016. Shortly after receiving Reiki II training, she organized a monthly Community Reiki event at Central Vermont Medical Center that provided free Reiki sessions to the Central Vermont community for four (4) years. This experience served as an introduction to the Vermont network of Reiki providers that lead to her joining the Vermont Reiki Association. As a member of the Vermont Reiki Association for fifteen years, she served on the board from 2012 to 2014, and as the Washington Country Regional Coordinator for one year.
In addition to practicing Reiki, Sylvia is a clinical dietitian, nutritionist and diabetes educator with over three decades of experience working in the field of nutrition and health education. A lifelong interest in traditional healing and alternative health inspired her to the study of herbalism, completing a three-year apprentice program through Sage Mountain Herbal Retreat and Botanical Sanctuary. She has been fortunate to study many forms of botanical and energy medicine including shamanism, Alchemical Healing and energetic herbalism and flower essence therapy. She currently has her own practice, Sylvia Gaboriault Wellness Services, in Montpelier Vermont. Sylvia’s approach to helping clients achieve wellness blends science and traditional wisdom, serving as both evidence- and nature-based guidance to spark self-healing. Additionally, she continues to work part-time as a clinical dietitian at Woodridge Rehabilitation and Nursing in Central Vermont. Sylvia enjoys gardening, reading, creating jewelry and herbal medicines. She currently lives in Barre, Vermont with her husband and two cats. Contact her at www.sylviagwellness.com. |
